Blake Lively has intensified her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni, claiming that she was not the only woman made uncomfortable on the set of It Ends With Us. In an amended complaint filed late Tuesday in New York federal court, Lively alleges she has corroboration for her initial claims, with a spokesperson for the actress stating that “other women confided in Blake about their discomfort,” as reported by People.
Representatives for both Baldoni and Lively have been contacted by Newsafro.com for comment.
Blake Lively previously filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin Baldoni in December, following their work together on the hit romantic drama It Ends With Us, in which Baldoni both starred and directed. In response, Baldoni launched a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her publicist, and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. Additionally, he filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times for its coverage of Lively’s allegations.
According to Blake Lively’s attorneys, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, the amended complaint provides substantial new evidence and corroboration for her original allegations. The updated filing, which includes previously undisclosed communications Lively had with Sony Pictures, Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer Studios, and multiple other witnesses, expands on the claims made in her initial lawsuit.
Notably, the new complaint adds a defamation claim against Justin Baldoni, which was not included in the original document filed on New Year’s Eve. Lively is now suing for defamation based on the “repeated false statements” made about her since she filed her initial complaint.
Additionally, Lively’s amended complaint now includes Jed Wallace and his Texas-based crisis PR firm, Street Relations, Inc., as defendants. Wallace, who has denied involvement in any smear campaign against Lively, previously filed a $7 million lawsuit against her after Lively’s initial complaint accused his firm of “weaponizing a digital army” against her on Baldoni’s behalf. While Lively had initially requested Wallace’s deposition in her first filing, his lawsuit revealed that this request had been rescinded.
The new filing also suggests that others on the set of It Ends With Us may be able to corroborate Lively’s claims, further complicating the legal battle.#newsafro_
