Megan Thee Stallion has announced her early departure from Moulin Rouge! The Musical, stepping down from her historic role as the first woman to portray Zidler just one month after making her Broadway debut.
The 31-year-old Grammy-winning artist, born Megan Pete, revealed that her final performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre will take place on May 1, ahead of her originally scheduled end date of May 17.
In a message shared with fans, the rapper expressed gratitude for the cast, crew and supporters who attended or planned to see her performance, describing the experience as meaningful and rewarding.
Her announcement follows an emotional onstage moment over the weekend, when she was seen in fan-recorded footage tearing up during a curtain call. The incident came shortly after she confirmed her split from Klay Thompson, citing issues of trust and fidelity in the relationship.
Stallion also recently revealed she experienced a health scare during a March performance, saying she suffered from exhaustion and dehydration that required medical attention. She later told fans she was taking time to rest and prioritize her well-being.
Despite her early exit, the Houston-born star has continued to balance her music career and business ventures, remaining one of the most prominent figures in entertainment since her breakout success in 2019.#newsafro_
