Social and traditional media platforms have been inundated with reactions subsequent to the announcement by Ms. Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, alias Mandy Kiss, a self-described sex worker and content creator. Ms. Oluwadahunsi declared her intent to engage in sexual intercourse with one hundred (100) men within a twenty-four (24) hour period, purporting such act to constitute a Guinness World Record (“GWR”) attempt.
Said announcement was disseminated via a promotional flyer published on Instagram, which bore the official logo of GWR, and indicated that the purported event was to occur in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on 30 October 2025, with the precise venue to be disclosed on the preceding day.
GWR, however, formally issued a public statement via its verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, categorically disassociating itself from the announcement. The institution clarified that it does not sanction, monitor, or recognise such activities, as its record-keeping standards are restricted to undertakings that are measurable, verifiable, safe, and ethically acceptable.
Despite this repudiation, Ms. Oluwadahunsi, in a subsequent video communication, reasserted her commitment to the proposed act, displaying multiple cartons of condoms and asserting that one hundred men had already agreed to participate. She further declared her intention to monetise access to the event by restricting free entry.
Her declaration provoked widespread public indignation, ranging from ridicule to moral condemnation. Of particular note, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ebenezer Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Yewa North Local Government Area, Ogun State, authored an open letter addressed to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, demanding Ms. Oluwadahunsi’s immediate arrest. The monarch characterised the proposal as a public nuisance, morally reprehensible, and life-endangering, further recommending that she be subjected to rehabilitation on grounds of alleged mental instability.
In addition, the Nigeria Chapter of the Young Global Leaders Network submitted a formal petition to the Lagos State Commissioner for Women Affairs, urging immediate governmental intervention. The organisation described the proposal as a violation of African moral values, a risk to public health and safety, and a grave affront to the dignity of womanhood. The petition also emphasised the potential adverse influence upon impressionable youth and drew unfavorable comparisons with prior, laudable record attempts by Chef Hilda Baci and Chef Dammy.
Subsequent to the backlash, Ms. Oluwadahunsi issued a public retraction via her Instagram account, contending that the announcement had been made in jest and solely for engagement purposes. She asserted incapacity to perform such an act, disclaimed any serious intent, and pleaded for leniency, citing financial hardship and lack of legal representation.#newsafro_
