Britney Spears’ son, Jayden James Federline, was recently seen in public for the first time since the singer’s arrest earlier this week on suspicion of driving under the influence.
According to reports, the 44-year-old pop star was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening in Ventura County after authorities received multiple 911 calls reporting erratic driving. Spears was subsequently released the following morning and is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
Two days later, Jayden, 19, was observed driving a convertible while traveling through the streets of Los Angeles. The teenager appeared to be alone during the daytime outing as he navigated toward his next destination.
Spears shares Jayden and his older brother, Sean Preston Federline, 20, with her former husband, Kevin Federline, to whom she was married from 2004 until their divorce in 2007. Family sources cited by TMZ indicated that the singer has been in communication with her sons since being released from custody.
The sources also reported that Spears has spoken with her mother, Lynne Spears, following a period of strained relations between the two. Lynne allegedly expressed support and indicated a willingness to assist her daughter if needed. According to the report, their conversation was described as “positive” and “hopeful.”
Additional sources informed TMZ that Spears has largely maintained a low profile since her release, reportedly remaining inside her residence in Los Angeles. Individuals close to the artist have also encouraged her to seek treatment. Her manager, Cade Hudson, stated that Spears intends to comply with legal requirements moving forward.
In a statement issued to the Daily Mail, representatives for Spears described the arrest as an unfortunate and inexcusable incident, indicating that the singer intends to take appropriate steps to comply with the law and pursue necessary support.
Emergency dispatch audio from the incident reportedly captured officers describing a black sedan engaging in erratic braking, swerving, and operating without a functioning tail light. Authorities later identified the vehicle involved as a 2026 black BMW Convertible.
According to dispatch records, the pursuit began at approximately 8:13 p.m., and officials later confirmed that the driver had exited the vehicle around 9:13 p.m. Reports from TMZ further indicated that pills were discovered inside the vehicle and are currently undergoing testing to determine whether they contain any controlled substances.#newsafro_
