Lisa Rinna has publicly criticized Andy Cohen for including her private text messages in one of his books, expressing surprise and frustration over the disclosure.
The 62-year-old former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star discussed the situation during an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, noting that while she had some idea her messages might appear in Cohen’s work, she was taken aback to see personal texts to her former boss included in the publication. She did not reach out to Cohen prior to writing her own memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, which is set for release on February 24.
Rinna indicated that the texts appeared in Cohen’s 2023 book The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up, although she did not explicitly name the title during her interview. She described the situation as a reflection of the on-and-off dynamic in her relationship with Cohen over the years, including their interactions during her eight-season tenure on RHOBH.
Reflecting on the professional dynamic, Rinna likened her past role on the show to giving her power to Cohen, calling it “almost like a little girl going back to the role she plays in her family.” Despite the tension, she stated that she is currently “fine” with Cohen.
Rinna emphasized that her memoir represents a chance to share her side of the story unfiltered, including her experiences on RHOBH and her personal life, describing it as a “director’s cut” of her life. She assured fans that she does not hold back in the book, noting that it was created to provide her own narrative without editorial interference.
In addition to promoting her memoir, Rinna has remained active in the public eye, appearing in Paris Fashion Week and competing on season four of The Traitors.#Newsafro_
