Actress Blake Lively, aged 37, is presently engaged in contentious legal proceedings with her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, aged 41.
Newly filed court documents obtained by Newsafro.com indicate that Ms. Lively has submitted motions to compel compliance with subpoenas previously issued to multiple executives affiliated with Mr. Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios.
As stated in the filings, Ms. Lively originally served the third-party subpoenas in March of this year. She is now petitioning the court to enforce those subpoenas, seeking judicial intervention to compel the recipients to produce documents and information deemed material to the ongoing dispute.
The individuals named in the subpoenas filed by Ms. Lively include eight executives affiliated with Wayfarer Studios: Ashmi Elizabeth Dang, Ahmed Musiol, Mitz Toskovic, Tera Hanks, AJ Marbory, Jennifer Benson, Shekinah Reese, and Jarriesse Blackmon.
The legal dispute arises from an alleged breakdown in the professional relationship between Ms. Lively and Mr. Baldoni during the production of the romantic drama It Ends With Us in 2024. In December of that year, Ms. Lively initiated legal proceedings against Mr. Baldoni, accusing him of engaging in sexually harassing behavior and orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign intended to damage her personal and professional reputation.
As part of ongoing pretrial motions, Ms. Lively’s legal team recently sought a protective order to preclude certain personal communications—specifically, private text messages between Ms. Lively and her close friend, singer Taylor Swift—from being admitted into evidence. However, earlier this week, that application was denied by a New York judge, marking a procedural setback for the plaintiff.#newsafro_
