Pro motocross rider Colby Raha is gearing up for a death-defying stunt in Las Vegas as he aims to push the limits of his sport once again.
The 31-year-old daredevil is attempting to break his own world record for the highest vertical jump off a quarter-pipe, currently set at 90 feet, with a bold new target of 100 feet. The jaw-dropping attempt is set against the backdrop of the iconic Las Vegas Strip, near the Caesars Palace fountains, as part of the grand opening celebration for OMNIA Dayclub & Skybar.
Speaking ahead of the stunt, Raha described the moment as a tribute to the legends who came before him, including Evel Knievel, who famously attempted a jump at the same location in 1967. While Knievel’s attempt ended in a serious crash, Raha’s challenge focuses on height rather than distance, but the risk remains extremely high.
Comparing the feat to skateboarding-style airtime on a dirt bike, Raha explained that he’ll be launching straight up from a massive ramp-like setup in a bid to make motocross history with the highest motorcycle jump ever recorded.#newsafro_
