Myleene Klass set temperatures soaring on Monday by sharing a video montage of her recent family reunion in Thailand on Instagram.
The 46-year-old TV presenter looked happier than ever as she soaked up the winter sun with her fiancé Simon Motson, younger sister Jessie, and three children—Ava, Hero, and Apollo.
In the Instagram reel, Myleene turned up the heat in a red-hot bikini while enjoying a day out on a boat.
The racy ensemble featured gold hardware detailing, accentuating Myleene’s jaw-dropping figure. She paired the look with gold jewelry, a black Sketchers cap, and shielded her eyes with a pair of gold aviator sunglasses.
In other moments from the clip, Myleene posed with Simon as the group enjoyed boat trips, pool swims, kickboxing classes, and indulged in plenty of delicious treats at food markets.
“Take me to the beach. Our family reunion in Thailand. So much to celebrate together,” a joyful Myleene captioned the post.
Later, she shared an emotional moment on her Instagram Stories, posting a photo of her heartfelt goodbye with her younger sister after spending a week together.
TV and radio producer Jessie, who lives in Australia, reunited with Myleene in Thailand for their long-awaited family get-together.
In the farewell selfie, Myleene joked, “I have a red nose as my sister just made a goodbye speech. I’m the ugly crier of the family. She goes back to Oz, and us back to the UK.” She added the caption, “Klass Girls on tour,” as the lookalike sisters smiled for the camera.
Myleene, the proud daughter of immigrant parents, was raised by her mother Magdalena and father Oscar in Norfolk. Oscar, of Austrian descent, is a retired Royal Navy captain who later retrained as a plumber. Magdalena, of Filipino heritage, worked as a nurse.
Myleene has frequently spoken with pride about her upbringing and, in a 2023 Instagram post, candidly discussed her mixed-race heritage.
Myleene Klass shared a powerful post reflecting on her experiences with racism, revealing that as recently as the previous week, she was “mistaken” for her son Apollo’s “Filipino nanny.” She emphasized that such comments, though often unintentional, can be “casually racist.”
In her post, Myleene, who welcomed Apollo in 2019, explained: “Even only last week, when out with my son, I was ‘mistaken’ as his Filipino nanny (gladly, it’s a noble role but one often taken for granted in North London where some mums don’t realize how lucky they are to have ‘help’ and ‘a Filipino,’ or that even this very phrase is casually racist).”
She went on to highlight the struggles faced by the Asian community, saying: “The Asian community have to leave their kids to provide a better life for them, raising those not their own and expected to be overtly grateful for the often unfair pay, whilst invisible.”
Myleene also recounted the racism she faced growing up, stating: “I’ve made no secret of the racism I faced growing up. ‘Chink’ and ‘Mongrel’ were terms I heard regularly.” She described being assigned chores at school simply because of her ethnicity and enduring cruel taunts from classmates, such as “ching chong.”
Addressing the stereotypical roles Asians have often been pigeonholed into, she added: “Asians have constantly been typecast as the kung fu experts, the violin-playing geniuses, the obedient, ping pong-bouncing Asian brides. Well now, the world is changing.”
In a more positive note, Myleene expressed gratitude to her fans for their support after being recognized in the 2024 New Year Honours for her services to women’s health, miscarriage awareness, and charity.#newsafro_
