Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finalized their divorce, five months after their unexpected split on their second wedding anniversary.
Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, who married in 2022, will officially end their marriage on February 20. Both parties will retain the assets they individually acquired during their brief union, DailyMail.com can confirm.
Additionally, the couple has reached an agreement regarding their $61 million Beverly Hills mansion, though the terms of the arrangement will remain private.
The former couple married without a prenuptial agreement, with their combined wealth totaling $550 million, of which Lopez’s assets account for $400 million.
The actor-director and singer-actress eloped at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, 18 years after ending their first engagement in 2004.
The couple later exchanged vows again at Affleck’s estate outside Savannah, Georgia, on August 20 of the same year.
J-Lo filed for divorce on the two-year anniversary of their Georgia wedding but listed their separation date as April 26, 2024.
The couple rekindled their romance in early 2021, just weeks after J-Lo ended her engagement to Alex Rodriguez.
TMZ, the first to report on the settlement, reveals that Affleck will retain his stake in his production company, Artists Equity, which he co-founded in 2022 with best friend Matt Damon. The company has produced films such as Air, The Accountant Part 2, and Unstoppable.
During their marriage, Lopez worked on several projects, including Shotgun Wedding, This Is Me… Now, and The Mother.
The settlement, mediated by celebrity divorce expert Laura Wasser, also includes Lopez dropping Affleck as a last name and reverting to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
Both Affleck and Lopez have amassed substantial wealth throughout their careers, spanning entertainment, investments, and branding deals. Affleck’s net worth stands at $150 million, bolstered by his investments in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, his production firm, and more than 100 films and TV shows.
Lopez, whose film, music, beauty business, investments, and brand ambassador deals have contributed to her wealth, has a net worth of $400 million.
