Ariana Grande is at the center of fresh online chatter after fans claimed they spotted a noticeable “blunder” in the first full trailer for Focker In-Law.
The upcoming Meet the Parents sequel sees Grande playing Olivia Jones, a former FBI negotiator who meets her boyfriend Henry Focker’s family for the first time, setting off a tense but comedic introduction to the famously chaotic household led by Jack Byrnes, played by Robert De Niro.
But while the trailer is packed with classic franchise-style awkward humor, one brief moment quickly caught viewers’ attention. During a bike-race scene between Olivia and Greg Focker, fans online pointed out what they believe is a stunt double appearing in place of Grande as her character falls off the bike.
The detail quickly spread across social media, with some users joking that the edit was too obvious for a major studio release, while others also criticized parts of the trailer’s visuals, claiming certain scenes looked overly reliant on green screen effects.
Despite the online debate, the trailer still generated strong excitement for the film, which brings back original cast members including Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Blythe Danner, alongside new additions to the iconic comedy franchise.
Set to release later this year, Focker In-Law continues the long-running story of the Byrnes-Focker family chaos—now with a new generation adding even more pressure, awkwardness, and comedic tension.#newsafro_
