Future is facing a new legal battle as a former partner, identified as Layla, takes him to court over paternity and child support claims involving her 9-year-old son.
According to court documents, Layla alleges that she and the rapper were once in a romantic relationship and claims he is the father of her son, born in 2017. She has now filed a case in Florida seeking to officially establish paternity and secure child support, including retroactive payments for the past two years.
The situation, however, has quickly grown more complicated. Future has responded by asking the court to dismiss the Florida case, arguing that Arizona—where Layla and the child currently live—would be the more appropriate place for the matter to be handled. He also revealed that he has already filed a separate case in Arizona.
In that filing, the rapper acknowledged being the father of a child named Kash Wilburn and stated that he has been voluntarily providing $3,500 per month in support.
Now, with two legal actions unfolding in different states, the case has turned into a dispute not just over paternity and payments, but also over where the matter should ultimately be decided. As it stands, the courts have yet to make a final ruling, leaving the situation unresolved for now.#newsafro_
