The family of Nollywood actress and producer Allwell Ademola has officially mourned her passing, confirming that she was 49 years old at the time of her death.
In a statement released on Sunday and signed by Adeboyega Adebayo on behalf of the Ademola family, it was announced that the actress passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. “With heavy hearts and total submission to the will of God, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, and aunt, Princess Allwell Ademola, who departed this life on Saturday, the 27th day of December, 2025, at the age of 49,” the statement read.
The family highlighted Ademola’s legacy as a proud daughter of the Ademola family of Ogun State and a great-granddaughter of the Alake of Egbaland. They noted her lifelong dedication to the creative arts, describing her as a thespian, actor, singer, and filmmaker who touched many lives through her talent and commitment to the entertainment industry.
The family also expressed appreciation to colleagues, friends, and well-wishers for their outpouring of support since her passing. “The Ademola family sincerely appreciates the overwhelming love, prayers, and messages of condolence from her colleagues, friends, and well-wishers across the world during this difficult time,” the statement added.
Details regarding burial arrangements will be communicated at a later date.
The clarification comes after earlier reports incorrectly stated that the actress died at the age of 43, following a heart attack at her residence before being taken to the hospital.
Tributes have continued to pour in from Nollywood colleagues and fans. Actress Faithia Williams wrote on Instagram, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell.” Other actors, including Mide Martins, have also expressed shock and grief over her passing.
