Ben Affleck experienced a surprising visit from law enforcement on Sunday when his Los Angeles home in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood was approached by what appeared to be FBI agents and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies.
The agents were seen waiting outside the gate to Affleck’s property for several minutes before ultimately leaving. The reason for their visit has not been disclosed, and Affleck has not made any public statement regarding the incident.
Newsafro.com has reached out to Ben Affleck’s representative for comment regarding the visit, but no response has been received at this time.
As of Sunday evening, the ongoing LA wildfires, including the Palisades fire and the Eaton fire originating in Altadena, have tragically claimed the lives of 24 individuals, according to a release from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Ben Affleck’s Brentwood home, located near the Pacific Palisades, has remained unharmed thus far, though the proximity to the fire zone has raised concerns about its safety. Despite this, law enforcement made an unannounced visit to the property on Sunday, where FBI agents and LA County Sheriff’s deputies were seen using the call box next to Affleck’s driveway gate. However, the gate was never opened.
One FBI agent was seen wearing a short-sleeve shirt with the bureau’s logo, while another wore body armor with the same insignia. Two other officers from the Sheriff’s Department were also spotted leaving the property—one in a windbreaker bearing the department’s logo and the other in a utility vest.
The visit to Affleck’s home comes during a period of uncertainty, as the Palisades fire remains only 13% contained as of Sunday evening. Last week, Affleck was pictured returning home in shock as flames were visible in the area. He quickly evacuated and rushed to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s nearby home in Brentwood to ensure the safety of their children.
It remains unclear whether Affleck was home during the law enforcement visit. His $20.5 million Brentwood estate, located near the Pacific Palisades area, has reportedly escaped damage from the ongoing LA wildfires, despite the proximity to areas heavily affected by the blaze.
