Former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson has responded to criticism over her weight gain and aging after facing harsh remarks from online trolls regarding her appearance.

Her remarks come as part of her ongoing efforts to promote self-acceptance and resilience in the face of public scrutiny.
Kendra Wilkinson, 39, recently addressed criticism about her weight gain and aging in a candid update shared with her 3.1 million followers. The former Playboy model, who previously admitted to feeling “mentally off” while filming her real estate show, reassured fans she is now in a better place mentally and emotionally.
In a photo and video update, Wilkinson posed in a white tank top and black leggings, sharing her reflections on personal growth. The mother of two—15-year-old son Hank Jr. and 10-year-old daughter Alijah, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Hank Baskett, 42—expressed gratitude for her current state of well-being.
“Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, I’m aging. Yes, I’m not that girl I was before (Playboy girl), but for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy,” she wrote.
She added, “Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny,” highlighting her hands-on approach to family life and her focus on maintaining balance.
Kendra Wilkinson addressed recent criticism over her appearance and lifestyle in a heartfelt note to her 3.1 million followers, emphasizing her happiness and newfound peace as she approaches her 40th birthday on June 12.
“For those of you hating on my new weight, 40-year-old face, please know that I’m happy, healthy, and at peace in life finally,” Wilkinson wrote. “Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be, all together.”
The former reality star also responded to critiques of her alcohol consumption, acknowledging the feedback while maintaining her upbeat tone. “Almost 40 is feeling amazing and yes, to the people criticizing my alcohol intake… I hear you and that will be monitored better,” she admitted. Wilkinson added with humor, “Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much, but you know what’s coming up in JUNE… Shots. Love ya.”
Earlier this month, Wilkinson shared another reflective update, posting a carousel of images with a caption expressing gratitude and setting intentions. “This week has been about letting go and appreciating life. Setting some realistic goals. Resetting my mind, body, and soul,” she wrote. She also expressed her love for her kids, friends, and career, noting plans to moderate her alcohol intake and her excitement for her milestone birthday in June.
Kendra Wilkinson concluded her heartfelt update with a touch of humor, writing, “Maybe meet the love of my life lol.”
The former Playboy model, best known as one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends in the early 2000s and a star of E!’s The Girls Next Door, has come a long way since her days at the iconic mansion.
Wilkinson was married to former NFL player Hank Baskett from 2009 to 2018, with whom she shares two children. In recent years, she transitioned into real estate, starring in the Discovery+ series Kendra Sells Hollywood from 2021 to 2023.
Reflecting on her journey, Wilkinson revealed to People in November that she regretted filming her last show, as she wasn’t mentally prepared at the time. “I was a little off mentally and I wasn’t ready to be on camera just yet. I wasn’t fully healed or there yet. Now I feel there,” she explained, expressing newfound confidence and balance in her current life.
