Kodak Black has been arrested in Florida for the second time in just eight days after turning himself in over a separate investigation that is not related to his earlier drug trafficking case.
According to Broward County Sheriff’s Office records, the 28-year-old rapper—whose real name is Bill Kapri—was booked on charges of resisting an officer without violence and attempting to flee law enforcement. He was processed at the Broward County Jail, with court records showing a $0 bond as the case moves forward.
His attorney, Bradford Cohen, told TMZ that the latest arrest was part of what he described as routine legal follow-up, saying Kapri was simply “tying up loose legal ends” by voluntarily surrendering. Cohen also suggested the case stemmed from a months-long investigation into alleged fleeing and eluding, which he claims lacks strong evidence.
The arrest comes just days after Kapri was previously booked on May 6 in connection with a separate felony drug trafficking case involving MDMA allegations in Orlando. That earlier case reportedly stems from a November 2025 incident near a children’s nonprofit location, where police say they responded to reports of gunfire before discovering drugs during a vehicle search.
Authorities have not said the two cases are connected.
Kapri has faced multiple legal issues in recent years, including prior arrests in Florida related to drug possession, probation violations, and other charges. Despite the ongoing scrutiny, his legal team continues to maintain that he is being unfairly targeted and that several of the cases against him lack merit.#newsafro_
