Lisa Wu is pushing back against serious allegations after a former friend accused her of being involved in an alleged scheme tied to a home dispute.
A police report filed in DeKalb County, Georgia, lists a woman named Norma Denise Mitchem as the alleged victim in a theft by deception case dating back to November 2025. According to the report, Mitchem’s nephew claimed Lisa and her boyfriend, Donald Jacob, helped arrange the purchase of a home through an LLC with the understanding that ownership would eventually be transferred back to Norma once a lien issue was resolved.
The nephew alleged the property was never intended to be returned, sparking the police complaint.
Lisa, however, strongly denied any wrongdoing. The former “RHOA” star said she has spent decades building her reputation and insisted she has “absolutely no involvement in fraudulent activity of any kind.”
According to Lisa, she stepped in to help her longtime friend secure a home because Norma allegedly could not qualify for a loan on her own. Lisa claims the agreement was that Norma would later obtain financing after closing, but says her friend stopped making payments after only a few months.
Text messages reportedly obtained by TMZ appear to show Lisa reminding Norma about overdue payments and utility bills connected to the property.
Norma disputes Lisa’s version of events, claiming Lisa later attempted to sell the home back to her at a significantly higher price. The dispute has now escalated into a legal and public battle, with both sides standing firmly by their accounts.#newsafro_
