Dylan Dreyer has shared a brief update about her “Today” show colleague Savannah Guthrie, whose family is currently facing a difficult time as the search continues for Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie.
Speaking with TMZ after leaving NBC studios on Tuesday afternoon, Dreyer said she believes Guthrie will likely return to the show eventually, though the exact timing remains uncertain. For now, she explained, everyone at the program is simply giving Guthrie the space she needs while offering their full support.
Dreyer also reflected on Guthrie’s emotional visit to the Today studio last Thursday. She said the hug they shared during the brief visit was deeply meaningful for both of them, coming at a moment when emotions were running high.
According to Dreyer, Guthrie is eager to regain some sense of normalcy, even though she is still figuring out how to navigate the challenging situation. Despite the circumstances, Guthrie managed a few smiles during the short appearance at the studio, showing resilience while dealing with an incredibly difficult period.
Authorities say Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in Tucson during the night of February 1. She was last seen entering the residence shortly before 10 p.m. on January 31 after having dinner with her daughter Annie and Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni. The search for her whereabouts is ongoing.#newsafro_
