Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter, Apple Martin, has publicly acknowledged undergoing a prior cosmetic enhancement procedure.
The 21-year-old, who is presently pursuing her studies at Vanderbilt University while also engaging in modeling activities, disclosed in a video feature with Vogue that she previously received lip filler treatment at the age of 18. She clarified, however, that the result was not to her satisfaction, stating that the enhancement appeared excessive.
Addressing public speculation, she refuted assertions that she presently maintains augmented lips, attributing the perceived fullness instead to cosmetic techniques, including deliberate lip positioning and the application of lip liner slightly above the natural lip line to create what she described as an “optical illusion.” She emphasized that her current appearance is not the product of ongoing filler use.
In the same feature, Martin remarked that the recording marked one of the first instances in which members of the public had heard her speak at length, given her prior status as an online subject of speculation.
Separately, Ms. Paltrow has not confirmed undergoing invasive plastic surgery procedures, though she has openly acknowledged receiving laser treatments and Botox injections. In a prior social media exchange, she conceded to having used Botox with varying outcomes.
It was further reported that Ms. Paltrow recently underwent a therapeutic plasma exchange procedure in Chicago, a treatment intended to filter certain materials from the bloodstream. In commentary to Richard Eden of the Daily Mail, she stated that the procedure was undertaken in response to ongoing health concerns, including chronic fatigue and cognitive difficulties, and that she experienced significant improvement thereafter.
Ms. Paltrow is the founder of Goop, a lifestyle enterprise launched in 2008 that has attracted both commercial success and public controversy. The brand later expanded into a streaming series, The Goop Lab.
Following Ms. Paltrow’s separation from Mr. Martin in 2014—publicly characterized by her as a “conscious uncoupling”—the parties have reportedly maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship.
In recent years, Apple Martin has made several high-profile public appearances, including attendance at a Chanel fashion presentation in Paris and participation in Le Bal des Débutantes in 2024, where she was accompanied by Count Leo Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck, son of filmmaker Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, director of the Academy Award–winning film The Lives of Others.#newsafro_
