On or about Monday evening, Kylie Jenner, aged twenty-eight (28), publicly commenced her musical career as a featured artist on the track titled Fourth Strike, performed by the musical duo Terror Jr (comprising Lisa Vitale and David Singer-Vine).
In connection with the release, Ms. Jenner revived her prior artistic persona known as “King Kylie,” a moniker originally popularized in or around 2014, and established official music profiles on the Spotify and Apple Music platforms under that designation.
Ms. Jenner’s vocal contribution to Fourth Strike appears limited to the bridge section of the song, wherein she delivers the following lyrics:
“King Kylie.”
“One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right,”
“I just wanna tell you, ‘I’m sorry’ / Touch me, baby, tell me I’m your baby / Write your name all over my body / Cross the line, I might do it again (Oh) / Do it on purpose just to see how it ends.”
Following the release, numerous social media users expressed negative opinions regarding Ms. Jenner’s vocal performance. A post from one user identified as @stargirlhoursx2 on X (formerly Twitter) described the performance as “embarrassing,” further referring to Ms. Jenner as “King AutoTune.” Another user characterized the song as “awful,” while others shared memes and animated images suggesting disapproval or indifference toward the track.
Some commentators alleged that Ms. Jenner’s entry into music was motivated by comparison to other public figures, including Addison Rae, who recently received attention for her own musical endeavors.
Fourth Strike has been identified as a sequel to Terror Jr’s 2016 release 3 Strikes, which was previously featured in a marketing campaign for Kylie Cosmetics. Ms. Jenner clarified on social media that although she had been rumored to have sung on 3 Strikes, she was not the vocalist, and that her participation in Fourth Strike represented the first occasion she was officially featured.
She further expressed appreciation to the artists and production team, including songwriter JBACH, Capitol Records A&R Vice President Carter Gregory, and music engineer/producer Bart Schoudel, as well as to her makeup artist Ariel Tejada for their support.
A video accompanying the announcement depicted Ms. Jenner’s children, Stormi Webster (aged seven) and Aire Webster (aged three), listening to Fourth Strike in the rear seat of her vehicle.
Ms. Jenner’s musical debut coincided with her publication of a social media post featuring herself wearing a teal ombré wig and a leather bustier, accompanied by a caption containing a profane challenge addressed to “Kylie Jenner.”
The release also follows a series of recent promotional activities for Kylie Cosmetics, including a “Glosses Part II” video, styled after her original commercial for the same product line during her earlier “King Kylie” era.
Prior to the present development, Ms. Jenner had concluded her on-and-off five-year relationship with Travis Scott, known for his professional use of AutoTune vocal effects.#newsafro_
