According to reports, the Prince and Princess of Wales, together with their three children, are preparing to relocate later this year to Forest Lodge, a Grade II-listed, 300-year-old, eight-bedroom residence situated within Windsor Great Park. The property—complete with extensive grounds, a tennis court, and a ballroom—has been described as their intended “forever home,” with the understanding that Prince William will continue to reside there upon his eventual accession to the throne.
Situated within a distinguished section of Windsor Great Park, the Grade II–listed residence has been characterized as the couple’s “permanent home,” with assurances that Prince William intends to reside there even upon accession to the throne.
The Mail on Sunday has further ascertained that, earlier this summer, two separate households occupying adjacent cottages were formally requested to vacate their premises.
The cottages, which had been converted from the former stables of Forest Lodge, are understood to have been let by the Crown Estate. Reports indicate that the tenants expressed surprise upon being requested to vacate.
It is further understood that no formal notices of eviction were issued, and that the tenants have since relocated to accommodation of a comparable or superior standard within the 4,800-acre grounds of Windsor Great Park.
According to a well-placed source, the occupants were instructed to vacate the premises. While it is understood that alternative accommodation was provided, the directive to relocate was nonetheless mandatory.
The source further observed that the tenants had not anticipated such a request. Given the cottages’ immediate proximity to the Lodge, it was suggested that the presence of members of the Royal Family necessitated a degree of control over neighboring occupants, rather than permitting unrestricted tenancy.#newsafro_
