Gospel singer Amarachi Joy has revealed that her breakthrough hit, Favour Room, significantly elevated her profile within the gospel music industry.
In a statement shared with Sunday Scoop, Amarachi—who officially launched her music career in 2006—explained that the song originated from a deeply personal experience combined with divine inspiration. She noted that Favour Room struck a chord with many listeners due to its powerful message of hope, particularly resonating with women navigating the difficulties of childbirth.
“When I sang Favour Room, I was pregnant with my first child. The inspiration came from a place of deep reflection. I believe no woman deserves to lose her life or her child during childbirth. That song transformed the idea of a ‘Labour Room’ into a ‘Favour Room’ and touched many lives. It was divine—and it brought me into the limelight,” Amarachi Joy shared.
Regarding her new single, God of the Prophet, she explained, “Many people have asked how I came up with the song. It wasn’t by my own doing; it came from a revelation. I often receive songs through dreams, during prayers, and sometimes by hearing voices. These are not just songs; they are spiritual experiences.”#newsafro_
