Denise Richards has shared a poignant clip from her final on-screen project with late actor Patrick Muldoon, just days after his sudden death at the age of 57.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 55-year-old actress revealed that she and Muldoon had been scheduled to promote their new crime thriller Dirty Hands this week ahead of its planned release on Friday. Those plans, she noted, were shattered by his unexpected passing.
Richards reflected on Muldoon’s dedication to the project, describing him as deeply passionate about the film and proud of the work he had done alongside cast and crew members he considered close friends. The pair previously worked together on the 1997 film Starship Troopers, making Dirty Hands their second collaboration.
In the upcoming film, Muldoon portrays Chicago drug runner Richie Denton, while Richards plays his girlfriend, Sheila, whose loyalties are tested as the story unfolds. Sharing a clip from the movie, Richards highlighted a tense phone exchange between their characters, calling it especially meaningful in hindsight.
She wrote that although she remains “in shock and devastated,” she felt compelled to share the footage, noting that Muldoon would have wanted the film to be seen. She also paid tribute to the filmmakers and collaborators involved, saying the project held special significance for him.
The post drew an outpouring of condolences from fans and friends, including Richards’ daughter Lola Sheen, who expressed her sympathy and said she believed Muldoon was “cheering from heaven.”
Muldoon, best known for his roles in Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, reportedly died following a heart attack at his Beverly Hills home, where he was found unresponsive after going to shower. Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to revive him.
His passing has left colleagues and fans mourning a career that spanned decades in film and television, with Dirty Hands now standing as one of his final screen appearances.#newsafro_
