Kim Kardashian announced on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday that her latest Hollywood project, Group Chat, has been picked up by Hulu.
The 44-year-old SKIMS founder revealed that she has been working on the show alongside longtime friend La La Anthony and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris.
The news was first reported exclusively by Deadline, marking another major media venture for Kardashian.
Group Chat is a satirical comedy starring and executive produced by La La Anthony (BMF), written and executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, with Kim Kardashian also serving as an executive producer.
Kardashian has been steadily expanding her Hollywood portfolio. In addition to starring in her family’s reality show and appearing in American Horror Story, she is set to star in the upcoming series All’s Fair and is collaborating on another project with Emma Roberts.
Meanwhile, Kanye West appears to have been dumped by his wife, Bianca Censori, based on the lyrics of his new songs, which reference her departure following his recent controversies.
Group Chat was picked up by Hulu for development in summer 2024 as the first project under Kim Kardashian’s first-look deal with 20th Television.
Inspired by La La Anthony’s bestselling book The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness, the series follows five successful women in their 40s whose seemingly perfect lives unravel through the secrets exposed in their private group chat.
Kardashian continues to expand her production portfolio at Hulu, where she also stars in and executive produces Ryan Murphy’s upcoming legal drama All’s Fair and remains an executive producer on The Kardashians. Additionally, she is producing the Netflix drama series Calabasas alongside Emma Roberts.
Meanwhile, Kanye West’s newly leaked track appears to confirm his split from Bianca Censori following weeks of speculation. The song, reportedly titled BIANCA, suggests that his wife attempted to have him committed and suffered panic attacks over his controversial social media activity.
The track is part of West’s upcoming album, WW3, which has already drawn backlash due to its cover featuring a red swastika. While the album has yet to be officially released, lyrics were uploaded to Genius on April 3, and DJ Akademiks—who recently interviewed West—shared a snippet, claiming the album is set to drop on Friday.
In the song, a female voice pleads, “Bianca, I just want you to come back / Come back to me / I know what I did to make you mad.” West then makes a controversial comparison between his relationship with Censori and the tumultuous past between Cassie Ventura and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
West has previously denied allegations of domestic abuse, calling such rumors “absurd.”#newsafro_
