Holly Willoughby has reportedly moved out of her £3 million family mansion, two months after her stalker, Gavin Plumb, was sentenced to prison for plotting her kidnap, rape, and murder.
The 43-year-old TV presenter stepped down from her role on This Morning after 14 years, following the alarming kidnap threat. In light of this incident, she has taken time away from the public eye.
In what appears to be a step toward moving past the traumatic ordeal, Holly Willoughby is reportedly set to move out of her home, according to The Sun on Saturday.
Photos obtained by the publication show removal vans outside her six-bedroom London property, where she has resided for the past 10 years.
A source stated: “The house was central to Plumb’s terrifying plot.”
“It can never feel the same again for Holly and her family. She just wants to move on and put this all behind her.”
Newsafro.com has reached out to Holly’s representatives for comment.
Following the sentencing of her stalker, Gavin, Holly issued a powerful statement expressing gratitude to the police and her legal team for their efforts in securing justice.
She stated: “As women, we should not be made to feel unsafe going about our daily lives and in our own homes.”
“I will forever be grateful to the undercover police officer who recognized the imminent threat, and to the Metropolitan and Essex police forces for their prompt response.
Thank you to the Crown Prosecution Service, the Rt Hon Mr Justice Murray, Alison Morgan KC, the jury members, and all involved in this case for ensuring that justice was served and that the defendant will not be able to harm any more women.
I would also like to commend the bravery of his previous victims for speaking out at the time. Without their courage, this conviction may not have been possible.”
Holly’s former co-presenter, Phillip Schofield, departed from the show after admitting to an affair with a younger colleague and misleading his co-star when confronted about the growing speculation.
After returning to the ITV program without him, Holly faced criticism for her statement addressing the nation, in which she asked viewers if they were “okay” following the revelation.
For the first time in her career, she is now a “free agent” and eager to explore opportunities abroad, seeking to move past her domestic challenges. However, she encountered another setback when Plumb was arrested for an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her, leaving her in fear.
Reports indicate that she was too afraid to leave her home after Plumb was charged, which resulted in her being off-air for several months. She contemplated whether to return as the host of Dancing On Ice alongside new co-host Stephen Mulhern, ultimately deciding to resume work in the New Year.
The presenter made her television comeback in January with Dancing On Ice and has since been filming a Netflix show, Bear Hunt, with Bear Grylls.
