Lauren Laverne, the 46-year-old BBC star and presenter of Desert Island Discs, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer. She is currently recovering in the hospital after the diagnosis was detected at an early stage.
Lauren Laverne, a mother of two, has not disclosed the specific type of cancer she was diagnosed with but mentioned that it was unexpectedly detected during a screening test. She expressed her gratitude to the medical teams for their “incredible skill and kindness” in her care.
Laverne has been married to television producer and DJ Graeme Fisher since 2005, after the two connected while working on a pop television show in the early 2000s. They have two sons, Fergus, born in 2007, and Mack, born in 2010, and the family resides in London.
