Nicki Minaj has been ordered to pay $503,000 pursuant to a court judgment entered in 2024, following her loss in a civil lawsuit filed by a former employee. Court records indicate that continued non-compliance with the judgment may result in enforcement action against her California real estate holdings, including a residence valued at approximately $20 million.
The ruling was issued by Judge Cindy Pánuco in favor of Thomas Weidenmüller, a former security guard who initiated legal proceedings against the artist in 2022. The action stemmed from allegations relating to an incident that occurred in March 2019 while the parties were in Germany. Minaj was named as a defendant in the matter.
According to court filings, Minaj has not satisfied the monetary judgment. As a result, in November 2025, Judge Pánuco indicated that the court was considering authorizing the forced sale of Minaj’s eight-bedroom property in Hidden Hills, California, as a means of satisfying the outstanding award. A final determination is scheduled to be made unless payment is remitted by the court-imposed deadline.
In submissions to the court, counsel for Weidenmüller argued that Minaj’s failure to pay reflects a deliberate refusal to comply with a lawful judgment, notwithstanding her alleged financial capacity to do so. The filings assert that extraordinary enforcement measures are warranted solely due to the defendant’s continued non-payment.
The court has also examined procedural safeguards associated with any potential sale of the property, including concerns about fair market valuation and whether such a sale would sufficiently satisfy the judgment amount and related obligations.
These legal developments follow recent public appearances by Minaj in which she expressed support for former U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. While unrelated to the underlying litigation, the comments have drawn public attention amid the ongoing enforcement proceedings.
The matter remains pending before the court, with enforcement action contingent upon compliance with the outstanding judgment.#newsafro_
