Millie Bobby Brown, the 21-year-old actress renowned for her roles in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, has publicly confirmed via her verified Instagram account that she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have formally adopted a female infant.
In her statement, Brown disclosed: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.” While the couple did not disclose the child’s name, their announcement was accompanied by an image of a willow tree.
The development follows their marriage approximately fifteen months ago, at which time Brown was 20 years old and Bongiovi — the 23-year-old son of renowned musician Jon Bon Jovi — was 22.
Speaking previously on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Brown had remarked that their decision to wed at a young age was consistent with the example set by their respective parents, who themselves had married early. “We had really great role models. We didn’t see any different,” she explained.
Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, initially became acquainted through a mutual associate. Their relationship began after Brown initiated contact with Bongiovi directly by telephone. The couple now resides on a farm, where they maintain numerous animals.
Brown has a longstanding affiliation with Joey’s Friends, a dog rescue organization. She has publicly stated that she has facilitated the rescue of more than 230 dogs. At one point, she was personally fostering 23 dogs, as she confirmed during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
In her professional career, Brown completed filming the fifth and final season of Stranger Things—a Netflix production widely recognized as one of the platform’s most successful series—at the end of the preceding year. The series, which provided Brown with her breakthrough role at age 12, is scheduled to conclude upon the release of its final season in late 2025.
Additionally, Brown completed production on the third installment of Enola Holmes in June. Her filmography further includes leading roles in Damsel and The Electric State (both Netflix productions), as well as appearances in two films within the Godzilla franchise.#newsafro_
