A media strategist has accused a Nollywood actress of plagiarism, alleging that she copied a viral social media post about Nigerian musician Asake without proper attribution.
The strategist, whose original post gained significant traction online, called out the actress for presenting the content as her own. The accusation has sparked discussions about intellectual property rights and ethical content sharing in the entertainment industry.
As of now, the actress has not publicly responded to the allegations.
Esther Ijewere, a media strategist, has accused Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa of plagiarism, alleging that Amusa copied and shared her social media post about singer Asake and his father without proper attribution.
Ijewere originally shared her reflections on Facebook, discussing Asake’s childhood struggles, the emotional weight of his public family issues, and the lasting impact of parental rejection. According to her, Amusa later posted the same message on the same day before deleting it when the controversy arose.
Ijewere’s post emphasized how parental absence and emotional neglect can shape a child’s well-being, suggesting that fame and success cannot easily heal such wounds. She urged parents to be present in their children’s lives, stressing that a child who feels truly loved at home will have less to prove to the world.
Amusa has not publicly responded to the plagiarism allegation.#newsafro_
