A 911 call from Josh Jacobs’ home reportedly captured chaotic moments during an alleged violent incident involving the Green Bay Packers running back, according to newly released dispatch audio.
In the recording obtained by TMJ4, dispatchers say they could hear “yelling and screaming” coming through an open line as emergency calls came in about the situation. Authorities reportedly received two separate calls—one from inside the area of the incident and another from a nearby neighbor.
During the first call, dispatchers noted “things being thrown” and indicated there may have been a male and female involved. Minutes later, a second caller reportedly told police that a neighbor had been assaulted.
Officers were dispatched to the scene, but were informed that the suspect—later identified as Jacobs—had already left in a Mercedes G-Wagon. Police then began searching for the vehicle and issued alerts to stop it if located.
Jacobs, 28, was later arrested and booked on multiple charges, including battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. He was released from custody the following day as prosecutors continued reviewing the case and had not yet filed formal charges.
The situation has created a distraction for the Packers during OTAs, with the team canceling media availability amid the ongoing developments. Jacobs’ status moving forward with the team remains uncertain as the investigation continues.#newsafro_
