Kelly Dodd is speaking out after being hit with criminal charges over allegations tied to revenge porn, insisting the accusations against her are “absurd” as she prepares to face court.
The former Real Housewives of Orange County star addressed the situation on her podcast alongside her husband, Rick Leventhal, where the couple discussed the case and their frustration over the ongoing legal process.
Leventhal told listeners they were limited in what they could say for now, noting that Kelly has yet to appear in court, but said they were eager for the truth to come out. Kelly echoed his sentiments, confirming she is due in court Thursday and strongly denying the allegations.
She also suggested that someone within her family may be responsible for the accusations, though she did not name anyone specifically.
According to court documents, prosecutors allege Kelly unlawfully distributed intimate images of a woman identified as Jane Doe without consent, allegedly causing emotional distress. The filings also claim the material was shared despite an agreement to keep it private, and that threats were made toward the accuser and her family.
Kelly has been charged with distributing intimate images without consent, making harassing phone calls, and a separate misdemeanor battery charge from a different incident involving another Jane Doe. All charges are classified as misdemeanors.#newsafro_
