Spencer Pratt may have built part of his L.A. mayor campaign around life in a trailer after losing his home in the devastating Los Angeles fires, but TMZ has learned the reality star is now staying at the ultra-luxurious Hotel Bel-Air.
Pratt recently clarified he never actually lived in the trailer full-time, despite previously saying in a campaign ad, “This is where I live,” while standing in front of the Airstream.
According to sources, Spencer has been staying at the iconic hotel for more than a month, while his wife, Heidi Montag, and their children are reportedly living in Carpinteria, north of Los Angeles.
The lavish hotel, known for its high-end suites, private pools, spa services, and celebrity clientele, reportedly costs at least $1,500 per night for a standard stay, with luxury suites running into several thousands of dollars.
Spencer says he was forced to leave the trailer behind because of alleged death threats tied to his outspoken campaign against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. According to Pratt, the hotel’s private armed security made it “the only option.”
The reality star also claimed tensions escalated after his recent debate performances and growing support in the mayoral race, saying critics had become increasingly “hostile.”
Pratt’s political push gained attention after he blamed city leadership for failures during the L.A. wildfires that destroyed his family home, including reported issues involving water access and inactive fire trucks.#newsafro_
