A former accountant who once worked for Hulk Hogan has been indicted on multiple federal charges after allegedly stealing more than $890,000 from an unidentified public figure in Florida, according to reports obtained by TMZ Sports.
The accountant, identified as Melissia Gauthreaux, is facing six counts of wire fraud following a lengthy FBI investigation into alleged financial misconduct that reportedly took place between 2017 and 2021.
Although the federal indictment does not name the victim, sources told TMZ Sports that Hogan employed Gauthreaux during the period in question, where she reportedly handled bookkeeping duties through her company, Accounting Resources and Management Services.
Investigators claim Gauthreaux had signatory authority on financial documents tied to the alleged victim, giving her the ability to sign paperwork and allegedly divert funds without authorization. Prosecutors say the scheme resulted in the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars over several years.
The case has attracted significant attention due to Hogan’s connection, though authorities have not officially confirmed the wrestling icon as the victim in the indictment.
The development comes months after Hogan’s death following cardiac arrest at his Clearwater Beach home last summer, a loss that sparked tributes from fans and celebrities across social media.
If convicted on all charges, Gauthreaux could face up to 20 years in federal prison for each count of wire fraud.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case moves through federal court.#newsafro_
