Lisa Rinna has formally reconciled with Andy Cohen following a prior dispute arising from his publication of their private text message exchange in his 2023 memoir, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Cohen disclosed on air that he had previously issued a personal apology to Rinna in connection with the inclusion of the text messages in his book. Rinna acknowledged receipt of the apology, confirming that it was extended during an earlier encounter at a reunion taping for The Traitors, and stated that the gesture carried significant personal meaning.
The exchange referenced by Cohen pertained to Rinna’s departure in 2023 from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after eight seasons. Cohen noted that Rinna had publicly expressed displeasure over the publication of the messages and had, in response, burned a copy of his book. Rinna affirmed the act, characterizing it as symbolic rather than retaliatory.
In her own 2024 memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, Rinna addresses the controversy and states that her intent in writing the book was to present her personal account without editorial constraint. She has publicly clarified that, while she did not consult Cohen prior to publication, she no longer harbors animosity and considers the matter resolved.
Additionally, during the same broadcast, Cohen sought clarification regarding Rinna’s prior statements that elements of her participation on the Bravo series involved “acting” or developing a heightened persona. Rinna responded that, while she was not fabricating her conduct, her televised presence reflected an amplified version of her personality shaped by the context of the program.
Based on the parties’ on-air acknowledgments and subsequent public statements, the matter appears to have been amicably settled.#newsafro_
