Bobrisky, a Nigerian social media personality known for challenging traditional gender norms, has responded to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s directive that the U.S. government recognize only two genders. In his response, Bobrisky declared that he would provide evidence of his gender identity, emphasizing his commitment to self-expression and defying conventional boundaries. The comment highlights the ongoing conversation about gender identity, rights, and recognition in global discussions.
Prominent Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, professionally recognized as Bobrisky, has issued a response to the recent directive from United States President Donald Trump, which mandates the official recognition of only two genders—male and female.
This policy, enacted as part of a series of executive orders signed by President Trump on his first day back in office, aims to enforce the recognition of a binary gender framework across all United States government policies.
During his inaugural address, President Donald Trump affirmed his decision, declaring: “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”
This directive is part of a broader effort by Trump to fulfill his campaign promises concerning the conservative opposition to what they describe as “woke” culture, as well as gender-related policies and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
An official from the administration clarified that the executive order would “terminate DEI initiatives within the federal government,” including the cessation of funding for DEI programs across federal agencies and a review of offices restructured under DEI initiatives.
However, the administration refrained from commenting on whether this action would be extended to the private sector, with the official indicating that businesses should “wait and see.”
In response, Bobrisky dismissed concerns regarding the policy, asserting her confidence in her identity as a woman. On Instagram, she stated: “I don’t have business with Trump. Trump said we have only two genders, right? And I said I am now a woman who has undergone everything. If they ask for evidence, I will show them, simple.”#newsafro_
