Justin Baldoni’s crisis management team has reportedly used Taylor Swift’s name in an attempt to undermine Blake Lively, following the latter’s high-profile lawsuit.
Blake Lively has initiated legal proceedings against Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and the creation of a toxic work environment during the production of It Ends With Us, a film in which he both directed and starred alongside her. Baldoni has vehemently denied the allegations.
The accusations include claims that Justin entered Blake’s trailer while she was “nude” and permitted his “friends” to watch her film intimate scenes.
In legal filings, Blake Lively’s team asserts that an “all hands” meeting was convened on January 4 of this year, allegedly “to address the hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production of the film.”
In response, Justin Baldoni’s PR team has accused Blake’s close friend, Taylor Swift, of using “bully tactics” to achieve her objectives. Additionally, Justin’s crisis management expert highlighted, in an email dated August 6, the significant influence of Blake and Taylor’s large fanbase, which he claims will be “taken extremely seriously.”
According to US Weekly, the email states: “We have seen the most innocuous issues turn giant due to socials or the hugest crises have no effect on social whatsoever. You just cannot tell at this stage. But, BL does have some of the same TS fanbase so we will be taking it extremely seriously.”
A separate document from Justin Baldoni’s team also references the “weaponisation of feminism.”
