Ming Luanli, Nicki Minaj’s sister, recently addressed the pressure she faces from people online attempting to provoke her into speaking negatively about the rapper. During an Instagram Live session, Luanli revealed that some commenters tried to incite drama by urging her to “talk s**t” about Nicki, but she quickly clarified that anyone encouraging such behavior isn’t a true fan of Minaj. Luanli expressed her frustration, calling out these individuals for not being “real” Barbz (Nicki’s fanbase).
In previous interviews, Luanli has shared that she and Nicki weren’t particularly close while growing up due to the rapper’s rising career. However, Luanli has always emphasized her respect for her sister and her desire to make her proud by building her own identity. Despite their differences, Luanli considers herself one of Nicki’s biggest supporters. She made it clear in her live session that she has no intention of throwing shade at Nicki, stating, “I’m literally in the system… I don’t have to be a fan if I’m in the system already.”
