Nicole Kidman, 57, charmed admirers as she blew a kiss while stepping out in New York City on Monday evening.
The acclaimed actress looked effortlessly stunning in a chic, navy blue pinstriped suit, featuring a tailored double-breasted blazer paired with matching wide-leg trousers, exuding timeless elegance during her night out on the town.
Beneath her elegant outerwear, Nicole Kidman wore a black lace top featuring a Victorian-style neckline, adding a touch of sophistication to her ensemble.
She completed the look with black satin pumps and carried a structured leather bag adorned with gold hardware. The Babygirl star — who recently shared her experience of losing her mother and the poignant final four words they exchanged — accessorized with a slim, retro-style watch that echoed the gold details of her handbag.
The Special Ops: Lioness star styled her signature strawberry blonde tresses into perfectly tousled beach waves, achieving an effortlessly chic look.
She looked radiant with a glowing, dewy makeup finish, accentuated by rosy pink blush and a glossy cherry red lip.
Nicole Kidman’s appearance comes shortly after she revealed she nearly quit acting in 2008. In an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, which aired the day before, the actress shared that after welcoming her first child, Sunday Rose, with husband Keith Urban, she felt ready to leave Hollywood behind.
“When I gave birth to [Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban], I was like, ‘Well, I think I’m pretty much done now,’” she recalled.
Kidman explained that it was her late mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, who encouraged her to stay connected to her craft. “We were living on a farm, and that’s when my mother said, ‘I wouldn’t give up completely. Keep a finger sort of in it,’” Kidman shared.
Initially resistant, she responded, “No, no. I’m done now. I’m done.” However, her mother persisted, advising her to “keep moving forward. Not saying that you have to do it to the level you’ve been doing it, but I wouldn’t give it up completely.”
Nicole Kidman reflected on the generational differences that may have influenced her mother’s perspective, ultimately shaping her own career decisions.
“That came from a woman who was from a generation that didn’t have the same opportunities that I had — opportunities she helped create for her daughters,” the Oscar winner explained. “So that’s probably something that she wished she’d had when she was little.”
Taking her mother’s advice to heart, Kidman continued acting, and her career flourished. Just three years later, she earned her third Oscar nomination for her role in Rabbit Hole.
Since then, Kidman has received two additional Oscar nominations: Best Supporting Actress in 2017 for Lion and Best Actress in 2022 for Being the Ricardos. She previously won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her acclaimed portrayal of Virginia Woolf in the psychological period drama The Hours.
Now regarded as one of Hollywood’s most accomplished and respected actresses, Kidman admitted that balancing her thriving career with personal life remains a challenge.
“Finding that balance is part of the journey,” she shared. “You make mistakes, you overdo it. So then you go, ‘OK, now I need to go and take care of this part of my life because it suffered.’”
Nicole Kidman welcomed her daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, with country singer Keith Urban in July 2008. The couple also shares a daughter, Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban, 13.
Married in June 2006, Kidman and Urban have now been together for 19 years.
In addition, Kidman has two adult children, Bella, 31, and Connor, 29, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.
Recently, the actress shared her experience of grieving the loss of her beloved mother, who passed away at the age of 84 in September.
