In just 24 hours, the hotline set up for victims of Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been flooded with an overwhelming 12,000 calls. This surge comes after recent allegations of abuse and misconduct against the music mogul, following lawsuits and claims made by former associates and victims, including Cassie Ventura. The influx of calls indicates the vast number of people who are potentially coming forward with their own experiences or information in connection with the charges against Combs.
Lawyer Tony Buzbee publicized a hotline earlier this week, urging victims of Sean “Diddy” Combs, 54, or those with knowledge of his alleged crimes, to come forward. Buzbee, who represents some of the individuals involved, encouraged anyone affected to share their experiences, contributing to the growing body of evidence in the high-profile case. The hotline has since been inundated with over 12,000 calls, reflecting the widespread impact of the allegations.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested last month in Manhattan following an investigation into alleged sex trafficking crimes, in which he is accused of drugging and raping victims, some as young as nine years old. Lawyer Tony Buzbee, who is representing several individuals, shared with Law & Crime that after announcing his intention to pursue these cases, the number of calls to the dedicated hotline surged dramatically.
Buzbee noted that within 10 days of launching the hotline, they received around 3,200 calls. However, after a press conference on Tuesday, that number skyrocketed, with 12,000 calls coming in just 24 hours. He explained the challenge his team now faces in sorting through the calls to identify victims and witnesses, while gathering vital evidence.
Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee has assembled a team of around 100 people to handle the overwhelming volume of calls to the hotline regarding the allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Buzbee stated that his team is working diligently to sift through the information and evidence, with the intention of filing civil cases within the next 30 days.
