Even by the standards of high-profile Hollywood conflicts, the ongoing feud between actress Blake Lively and her co-star/director Justin Baldoni is intense enough to inspire another Rocky sequel.
But the question remains: who would play the villain?
With a flurry of wild accusations and even wilder counterclaims being exchanged, neither party is emerging with a spotless reputation.
Lively, 37, filed an 80-page federal lawsuit in December, accusing Baldoni, 41, of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us and of orchestrating a smear campaign against her.
In response, Baldoni sued the New York Times for publishing Lively’s claims, and later filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her publicist, and her husband, A-list actor Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion.
As Reynolds becomes embroiled in this complex web of lawsuits, it’s not only Lively and Baldoni’s actions that are under scrutiny. In a bizarre text exchange with Baldoni, Lively reportedly referred to her husband as her “dragon,” a term that challenges the “Nice Guy” image typically associated with the Canada-born rom-com star.
Peeling back the polished public persona of Reynolds reveals a less flattering side, as his romantic history suggests a more complicated narrative.
Reynolds, who moved to Los Angeles in his early 20s to pursue a career in show business, first gained significant attention with his relationship to fellow Canadian and Jagged Little Pill singer Alanis Morissette, now 50.#newsafro_
