Several individuals have reportedly been charged in connection with the death of One Direction star Liam Payne in Argentina, according to emerging reports.
According to the Argentinian online newspaper Infobae, five individuals have been charged by a judge, with two of them remanded in custody. The report alleges that one of the individuals charged is Rogelio “Roger” Nores, a friend of Liam Payne, who reportedly stated that he left the singer at the CasaSur Palermo hotel approximately an hour before the fatal incident occurred.
According to Infobae, authorities have charged Rogelio “Roger” Nores with negligent homicide. Braian Paiz, a waiter who admitted to using drugs, including cocaine, with the singer, has been charged with supplying narcotics for payment. CasaSur employee Ezequiel Pereyra has allegedly been charged with drug supply as well.
Hotel managers Gilda Martín and Esteban Grassi are reportedly facing charges of manslaughter. All five individuals have been summoned to appear in court.
Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, tragically died on October 16 after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The 31-year-old’s death has raised significant questions about the circumstances surrounding the incident and left fans worldwide in shock.
Police initiated a comprehensive investigation into Liam Payne’s death, during which Rogelio “Roger” Nores had previously denied being a suspect.
On the day of the singer’s death, a 911 call reportedly warned that Payne had been acting aggressively and may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Esteban Grassi, the chief receptionist at the CasaSur Palermo hotel, alleged that Payne made repeated calls to the front desk, persistently requesting alcohol and inquiring where he could obtain cocaine. Grassi also claimed that Payne insulted a staff member who refused to assist him in acquiring drugs.
