Wade Robson and James Safechuck are showing their continued support for one another as they prepare for their upcoming trial involving Michael Jackson’s business entities.
The two men, whose allegations against the late pop icon were featured in the 2019 HBO documentary “Leaving Neverland,” recently shared a selfie together on social media. Alongside the photo, both reflected on the bond they have built through their shared experiences.
Robson referred to Safechuck as his “brother in trauma and triumph,” while Safechuck thanked Robson for his bravery and unwavering support, saying he had a great time spending time with his longtime friend.
Their allegations against Jackson have remained at the center of public discussion since “Leaving Neverland” premiered. In the documentary, both men accused the singer of sexually abusing them during their childhood and spoke about the emotional impact they say followed for years afterward.
The pair later expanded on their experiences in the follow-up documentary “After Neverland,” explaining why they spent years publicly denying any abuse had occurred. According to Robson and Safechuck, feelings of fear, shame, guilt, and affection toward Jackson contributed to their silence.
Robson also famously testified in Jackson’s defense during the singer’s 2005 child molestation trial before later coming forward with his own allegations.
Now, as their legal fight moves forward, Robson and Safechuck appear to be leaning on each other for support, with their latest social media post highlighting the close friendship they have formed along the way.#newsafro_
