Milagro “Gramz” Cooper is asking a federal judge to temporarily halt enforcement of a $75,000 court judgment awarded to Megan Thee Stallion, arguing that being forced to pay now would create serious financial strain while she continues to fight the case on appeal.
In new court filings, Milagro is requesting a delay in payment while she challenges the lower court’s ruling in a higher court. She maintains that there are still unresolved legal issues that deserve further review before any enforcement of the judgment moves forward.
At the center of her request is her financial situation. Milagro describes herself as a self-employed media commentator and content creator whose income fluctuates from month to month. She argues she does not have significant liquid assets and says she cannot immediately pay the judgment or secure a full supersedeas bond, which is typically required to pause enforcement during an appeal.
She also tells the court she supports her household and two minor children, claiming that immediate payment would place additional pressure on her finances.
The dispute stems from a federal jury verdict that largely sided with Megan Thee Stallion in her defamation lawsuit related to online posts concerning rapper Tory Lanez and the aftermath of the 2020 shooting incident. The jury awarded Megan $75,000 in damages, though the final amount could increase if attorney’s fees are added under Florida law.
Milagro’s filing acknowledges that Megan’s legal team is opposing the request, setting up another round of legal back-and-forth as the case continues through the appeals process.#newsafro_
