Kim Delaney is officially moving on from her legal troubles after settling a lawsuit connected to an alleged 2022 hit-and-run crash, according to newly obtained court documents.
The former “NYPD Blue” actress reached an agreement this week with Dzhamal Badalov, the motorcyclist who accused her of crashing into him while he was stopped at a red light.
Badalov claimed Delaney slammed her vehicle into his motorcycle before attempting to leave the scene. According to the lawsuit, bystanders initially stopped her from driving away, but he alleged she later fled after speaking to someone on the phone.
The lawsuit also accused Delaney of appearing intoxicated at the time, with witnesses allegedly reporting erratic driving and swerving before the crash.
However, Delaney denied being drunk and previously told a judge she left the scene because she feared for her safety due to her celebrity status.
Court filings state the settlement is unconditional, meaning dismissal paperwork must be filed within 45 days of the May 19 agreement to officially close the case. Delaney is still expected to appear for a final status conference scheduled for June 2.
The settlement now brings the years-long legal dispute one step closer to being fully resolved.#newsafro_
