Stefon Diggs is fighting back in court after his male sexual assault accuser requested access to details surrounding the NFL star’s professional football earnings and contract records.
According to newly obtained court documents, Diggs asked the judge to deny Christopher Blake Griffith’s request for financial information related to his NFL income. The football star argued that his earnings have nothing to do with the ongoing legal dispute because he is not claiming any loss of income in the case.
Diggs also stated that enough information has already been provided during the discovery process and insisted there is no valid reason to hand over additional documents tied to his football contracts.
The lawsuit stems from allegations made by Griffith, who claims he attended a basketball game with Diggs in May 2023 before later going back to the athlete’s home. Griffith alleges that he was drugged and sexually assaulted there and further claims Diggs later coordinated an assault against him days afterward.
Diggs has strongly denied all allegations. In court filings, he stated that after returning home that night, he simply went to bed and did not assault Griffith.
A judge has not yet ruled on whether Diggs will be required to produce documents connected to his NFL contracts and earnings as the legal battle continues.
The case remains ongoing, while Diggs has also previously faced — and beaten — separate assault allegations brought by a former chef in an unrelated criminal matter.#newsafro_
