Kim Zolciak has temporarily lost primary physical custody of her four children following a recent court decision in her ongoing legal dispute with ex-husband Kroy Biermann.
According to court documents, a judge approved Biermann’s emergency custody request after he argued that Zolciak was “unstable and unfit” to have primary physical custody of their children—Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. Despite the ruling, the former couple will continue to share joint legal custody, meaning they both remain involved in major decision-making regarding their children’s lives.
However, the court granted Biermann final authority over key matters such as education, non-emergency medical care, and religious upbringing. The arrangement also sets a structured parenting schedule, with the children alternating weekends between both parents.
Zolciak responded to the ruling by expressing frustration over what she described as a temporary decision, saying she is looking forward to a full court hearing where she can present her side of the story. She maintained that the current order is only in place until the case returns to court for a more comprehensive review.
The ruling comes amid a deeply contentious and increasingly public divorce battle between the pair, who separated in 2023. Biermann has accused Zolciak of neglecting parental responsibilities and prioritizing her career and public image, claims she has strongly denied. In response, she has insisted that she continues to work to support her family and says the allegations are part of an effort to damage her reputation.
Court filings from both sides paint a picture of escalating conflict, with disputes over parenting schedules, therapy attendance, and communication breakdowns. Biermann has pushed for sole custody, arguing that all four children should live under one roof, while Zolciak has rejected the claims and vowed to fight them in court.
As the legal proceedings continue, both parents will maintain scheduled time with their children, though the final outcome of the custody arrangement now rests on future court hearings in their ongoing divorce case.#newsafro_
