Luka Dončić is taking his legal battle off the court and into the courtroom, where he’s pushing back against his ex-fiancée’s latest move.
The basketball star has filed legal documents asking a Los Angeles judge to throw out a child support and legal fees request submitted by Anamaria Goltes. His argument is simple—California is the wrong place for the case.
According to the filings, Dončić insists neither he nor his children live in California. Instead, he says their daughters reside in Slovenia, where Goltes relocated months ago. Because of that, he believes any legal matters involving custody and support should be handled there, not in the United States.
He also revealed that he had already taken legal action earlier in the year, filing a petition in Slovenia that addresses both custody and child support. From his perspective, the California filing is unnecessary and strategically misplaced.
Dončić further claims he has been fully covering the expenses for their two young daughters and suggests the move to file in California may be an attempt to benefit from the state’s typically higher child support standards.
Despite the ongoing dispute, the NBA star has made it clear where his priorities lie. In a previous statement, he emphasized that everything he does is for his daughters’ happiness and that he remains committed to being present in their lives.
Now, he’s asking the court to dismiss the California case entirely, arguing that it is both legally improper and filed in the wrong jurisdiction.#newsafro_
