Machine Gun Kelly has drawn criticism after posting a striking image that appeared to show him driving at an extremely high speed, amid continued scrutiny of his personal life following his split from Megan Fox.
On Thursday, the 35-year-old rapper shared a blurred photograph taken from behind the wheel of a moving vehicle, with the speedometer visibly displaying 123mph. The image was shared with his more than nine million Instagram followers and quickly raised concerns about road safety.
Shortly afterward, Kelly — whose real name is Colson Baker — uploaded a black-and-white selfie in which he appeared to be smoking what looked like a joint or a hand-rolled cigarette.
The posts surfaced as reports suggest that Kelly and Fox are no longer romantically involved and are instead focused on co-parenting their daughter, Saga Blade, who was born in March 2025.
The couple reportedly ended their engagement in November 2024 after Fox, who was pregnant at the time, allegedly discovered Kelly had been communicating with other women. Although speculation about a possible reconciliation persisted for months, a source recently told People magazine that the former couple’s relationship is now strictly platonic.
“They haven’t been together in a real way for a long time now,” the source said. “Their relationship at this point is just about co-parenting. Megan is focused on her kids and the baby and settling into this new chapter.”
Fox, 39, shares three children — Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, nine — with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green. Kelly is also father to a 16-year-old daughter, Casie, from a previous relationship with Emma Cannon.
Despite their split, sources have previously said Fox has appreciated Kelly’s involvement as a father, noting that he has been actively present and supportive since the birth of their daughter. At one point last year, insiders suggested the pair were spending significant time together while navigating early parenthood, though no official reconciliation followed.
Kelly has spoken positively about Fox in interviews, most recently during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he praised her as a “phenomenal mom” and described their co-parenting dynamic as healthy and respectful.
He also shared the meaning behind their daughter’s name, explaining that Saga is inspired by a Norwegian goddess and translates to “epic story.”
Kelly has not addressed the backlash surrounding his recent social media post, nor clarified whether the image showing the high speed was taken on a closed course or under controlled conditions.#newsafro_
