Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio has formally appointed Raffaele Palladino as its new head coach, with the Italian manager signing a contract extending until 30 June 2027. The announcement follows the departure of former head coach Ivan Juric, who was relieved of his duties on Monday after 11 matches in the 2025–26 Serie A season, including a 3-0 home defeat to newly-promoted Sassuolo.
According to reports by sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Palladino, aged 41, succeeds Juric and assumes responsibility for overseeing Atalanta’s domestic and European campaigns.
Palladino arrives in Bergamo after a notable tenure at Fiorentina, where he initially signed a two-year contract in 2024. During his time with the Viola, he emphasized attacking football and youth development, earning recognition for his strategic approach despite challenges at the conclusion of his spell in Florence.
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi expressed confidence in Palladino’s leadership, stating that the club anticipates his vision will continue to advance “La Dea”’s recent successes in Serie A and European competitions.
Palladino’s appointment marks the start of a new chapter for the club, with his primary responsibilities encompassing tactical management, squad development, and performance across all competitions.#newsafro_
