Lala Kent, 34, was the epitome of a devoted mother as she took her newborn daughter Sosa out for lunch on Tuesday, marking her first outing since giving birth two weeks ago. The Vanderpump Rules star was spotted enjoying a meal with her baby girl, whom she conceived via sperm donor, in Sherman Oaks. Also accompanying them was Lala’s mother, Lisa Burningham, who joined the family outing.
Lala Kent, who shared the first photos of her newborn daughter Sosa on Instagram earlier on Tuesday, opted for a casual outfit for their lunch outing. She wore a charcoal gray t-shirt paired with distressed wide-leg jeans and a white and black ‘Average’ baseball cap. She completed her look with sneakers and chunky gold hoop earrings.
Lala Kent was seen carrying her baby daughter Sosa’s car seat by herself as she made her way to the restaurant. Inside, she attended to her little one, who was dressed in a pink and white floral onesie. Her mother, Lisa Burningham, looked chic in a black shirt and striped pants with floral embellishments.
Earlier in the day, Lala shared the first photos of her newborn daughter on Instagram. She welcomed Sosa, her second child, on September 3. The post featured an adorable image of Sosa peacefully sleeping while wrapped in a soft blanket.
Lala Kent followed up with another heartwarming photo of her eldest child, three-year-old daughter Ocean, bonding with her newborn sister, Sosa. In the precious image, Ocean is seen adorably kissing her baby sister on the cheek while holding the infant in her arms.
On September 3rd, precisely at 10:13 PM, Lala Kent welcomed her second daughter, Sosa Kent. Ms. Kent has been forthright about her aspirations for this event, and it has now been realized. In her public statement, Ms. Kent expressed her profound affection for her newborn, stating, “I am completely in love with her—We all are. Sosa, you have no idea what you have brought into my life. I am blessed to call myself your mama. Welcome to our crazy world, boo boo. We are so happy you’re here.”
The social media post also included video footage of Ms. Kent during labor. The video depicts her seated on a hospital bed, breathing deeply, while her mother, Lisa, and several friends provide support. On the Monday following Sosa’s birth, Ms. Kent was observed publicly for the first time since the delivery, wearing casual attire consisting of a gray top, jeans, and a white cap, while transporting a baby car seat. Notably, Sosa was conceived via a sperm donor, whereas Ms. Kent’s eldest daughter, Ocean, has Randall Emmett as her biological father.
Ms. Kent announced Sosa’s arrival on September 4th via Instagram Stories with the message: “Welcome to the world, my love. 9.3.24.”
Previously, Ms. Kent had articulated her desire for another child independently, without seeking a partner for this purpose. In a statement on Vanderpump Rules, she affirmed, “I want another baby so badly,” and further stated, “I don’t want a baby daddy. It’s not happening. There’s no changing my mind.”
This decision is reportedly influenced by her previous separation from Mr. Emmett, which has impacted her approach to family planning.
