Travis Kelce’s team has enlisted legal assistance in response to a leaked ‘contract’ that purportedly detailed the exact date his relationship with Taylor Swift would end. The document, which was circulated online, was identified as a fake PR ‘strategy document,’ creating the misleading impression that their year-long romance was a publicity stunt.
When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce publicly confirmed their relationship, fans were convinced it was a true love story, almost like something out of a Hollywood film—an acclaimed pop star and a sportsman falling in love under the global spotlight.
However, this evening, Mr. Kelce’s representatives were compelled to refute claims of an imminent breakup, following the circulation of a document on his US PR company’s letterhead that suggested they planned to end their relationship later this month.
The document, allegedly created by the Los Angeles-based firm Full Scope, outlines a strategy for announcing a split between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, with a proposed announcement date of September 28. It details a plan to issue an official statement three days after the supposed breakup to allow initial media attention to subside and to ensure clarity.
The document specifies that the announcement will be ‘gracious, respectful, and emphasize mutual respect.’ It includes a sample statement: “Travis and Taylor have decided to part ways after careful consideration. They both value and respect each other’s personal lives and appreciate your respect for privacy during this time.”
The document further outlined that the announcement would emphasize Mr. Kelce’s ‘personal growth’ by portraying the breakup as a ‘natural part of life,’ while also highlighting his dedication to his career and achievements in sports. The plan included distributing the statement to major media outlets through a press release for broad coverage.
Despite these details, a spokesman for Full Scope has strongly denied the authenticity of the document, calling it ‘entirely false and fabricated’ and asserting that it was neither created nor authorized by their agency. The spokesperson added that they have engaged legal counsel to pursue actions against those responsible for the fraudulent document, though they do not anticipate identifying the perpetrator.
Not all fans are convinced by the statement, which was initially shared on Reddit. Some critics have remarked that it “reads like a high school assignment” and suggested it might have been generated by “chat gtp” (ChatGPT).
A spokeswoman for Taylor Swift did not respond to requests for comment on the rumored split.
Travis Kelce is represented by Jack Ketosyan and Pia Malihi at the US firm. Ketosyan has previously admitted to orchestrating ‘showmances’—staged relationships designed for publicity purposes. In a 2019 Australian podcast for Mamamia’s The Quicky, Ketosyan explained that such fabricated romances are often used to generate hype for upcoming projects or to divert attention from negative publicity.
